They say the public clock tower in the main room @ Grand Central Terminal, NYC is made from a single pearl ~ 2 feet diameter or four clockfaces of solid opal (gemstone). Basically, a treasure hidden in plain sight. Fifteen years ago @ university, my roomie revealed the location of another cultural gem. This bakery is the real deal. Since the advent of the unlimited metrocard, this has enabled my pilgrimages to this wood fired bakery of deliciousness.
