M Avery Designs Sewing Studio

Megan organized the best sewing birthday activity for my 6 year old daughter and her 2 older brothers and cousin. They pinned, cut out patterns and each sewed their own messenger bags. Watching each child select their fabrics and learn how to operate a sewing machine was such fun. All of the kids, ranging in age from 6-16, had a fantastic time!
Megan is a calm, organized instructor and great facilitator. We also purchased a sewing machine from her and she did all the initial set up so that all we had to do was come home and plug it in! Saved us a day of manuals and frustration!

Talk about a unique & fun place to go with friends & walk away with an awesome experience PLUS something you actually MADE! Whether it be a handbag, a dress or an apron - you make it yourself & it turns out beautiful and/or funky every time! The staff there NEVER lets you walk away with something you won't be happy with. Whether you just want to learn to sew or are looking for a creative way to spend the afternoon/evening with your girlfriends - M Avery Designs is where it's at! The owner, Megan, is awesome & you will totally want to come back over & over again - creativity is addictive AND contagious & M Avery Designs is the cure!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

M Avery Designs is a great place to learn how to sew, hone your craft, or learn and develop a great hobby. I have taken many of the 4-week Fashion Lab classes (Home Decor, Vintage Dress, Hat, Separates, Jeans, Knit, Draping, Bags etc.) and many of her Make it - Take it classes, along with her Skills classes. They are all great! I love the variety of class. I have learned a lot and had a lot of fun in each class. I have made some great friends at M. Avery Designs and look forward to going there. Megan is a great teacher...she is down to earth, patient, and talented...she passes those traits along to those she teaches too (along with her sewing knowledge). I highly recommend taking classes and/or having a party at M. Avery Designs.

I'm 12 years old and I go here for my sewing lessons. I made a headband, a clutch purse, and now I'm working on my messanger bag. It's really fun and its also very private because you get your own personal helper! Theres not more than 5 people there at a time making it nice and quiet to sew in.
