Luna Ristorante

Sometimes its funny what gets into zagats best pizza. Only in the luna i had pizza that actually tasteted like the real italian deal, and they had some nice italian beer. Friendly staff made my stay very nice. Only the interieur is a little let down, but then again you dont have cosy gardens with shadowy trees in new york to make it "italian" . A better interieur would get the 5th star. Thanks

Absolutely incredible. I was in NYC for 2 days with my family. We knew we wanted Italian but 2 of us wanted pizza and 2 of us meals. After a little research we chose Luna. The 2 that ordered pizza said it was great. I ordered veal pram which was incredible. The pasta was perfect aldente and the veal was very tender. They give you a knife but not needed. The owner a nice older gentleman waited on us. Very authentic and now when I go to little Italy the choice will be simple

Would not recomend. The restuarant was empty when me and my group of 13 came in. We sat down. They were unable to seat us together. The waitress also said they only do one ticket per table.... unacceptable. How can you run a restaurant in NYC and expect groups to dine with you if you refuse to split checks? After kindly explaining to the staff that if they were unable to split our check 3 ways we would have to go elsewhere as
we had no cash and no way of paying each other back, the waitress agreed to split it but only after she explained how difficult it would be for her 2 or 3 times.

Our fettacini Alfredo was soupy and bland. The complimentary bread is tasty but we had to request it multiple times before we received any even though all the tables around that came in after us had already started their second and third loafs.
