I've been going to Luna Salon for about 4 years now, and at this point realized it just isn't worth it. Well, at least Marina isn't. At first she used to do a good job and I was very happy with her work, but now I'm not sure what happened to her. It's like she lost her touch. She gave me a color and cut, the color was great but the cut .. HORRIBLE! She took all my hair to the front of my face and cut it the same length, very choppy, uneven and look like it was unprofessionally done especially for what she charged. In all this will be my last time at this salon and with Marina.

Finally! My new favourite salon. A great space, wonderful service & creative staff who listen and advise as necessary. I will definitely be back!

unreasonable high prices. be careful, ask how much before using their service

I went to Luna because of all the good reviews. I wanted a pedicure and a very basic trim with a sideswept fringe. The receptionist was very nice but she had to translate everything I wanted to the stylist, who looked like he didn't want to be there. I indicated how long I wanted the shortest parts of the fringe and that I wanted to maintain the layers in my hair which were very subtle and cut into very small sections of hair. The fringe is over an inch shorter than what I'd asked for. It sticks out and doesn't sweep to the side, it just sits in my eyes. The layers I had were not at all maintained. They are way too heavy at the top and having washed and blow dried my hair this morning, the shape is like a mushroom. The lower layers are way too thin and they flip outwards, which is also directly in contradiction to what I'd wanted. Yeah, it will grow out. But growing out layers like this takes months and I wanted to grow out my overall length. The fringe is going to sit in my face for at least the next month. I also was on my way to a wedding, where I'll be photographed with these awful bangs right on my face.

The pedicure was thorough. I got a little swelling and infection on my cuticle afterwards but she did a good job and was very pleasant.

In sum, go for the nails, stay away from the hairstyling.
