Helpful staff, and exactly what you'd expect of a Lululemon. While not the largest store in NYC, they've got a great selection of products. Also be sure to check out the small "sale" section, you can find some really great deals!

I must confess I've been skeptical of Lululemon. I didn't understand what all the fuss was about, aside from selling pricey gym wear that is sexy, not boxy or androgynous. To me, who cares. I'm working out, not out on the town. And yet. As a long distance runner I am all too familiar with the chafe. I always thought it was part of the deal. And then I realized maybe if my top was a bit snugger my underarm wouldn't rub against it. And a Lululemon believer was born. Pricey, yes, though no more so than any of the other name brands are full-price (sadly, I don't think Lululemon believes in sales). They offer an array of styles that vary from full coverage to light, for running to yoga. Colors and fits are bright and feminine. Pieces run the gamut — many are essentially push-up bras in camouflage. But when you find a piece that works for you, you understand instantly. Things sit (and stay) exactly where they should. While it's certainly a splurge, it's worth it when you're slogging through 20+ miles — chafe is the last thing on your mind.
