Lula Bean is a small cafe one might call quirky so don't expect the foo-foo pretentious attitudes of other cafes in the neighborhood. They have good strong latte just like grandma made! Love the small pies and you gotta try the carrot cake!

had a chai tea latte here. it was so bland. the service is kinda ehhhhhh. I was supremely disappointed ...it looked like a cool place.

Sloppy service. The guy needs a crash course on customer service or maybe send him to New Zealand and we'll set him right.
Coffee was good not the best.
Wont recommend this to anyone

Lula Bean is one of the nicer places to stop by for an iced coffee and pastry in this area, plus it's very close to Grand St station. Staff weren't all that friendly (at least by NY standards) and the cafe feels a little cramped, but those are my only complaints.

Just a great neighborhood place. Service is quick and friendly, the patrons are great, coffee drinks are good and the sandwiches are totally delicious. And it's dog-friendly! (Basically the place is so small you can leave your dog outside and he can still stare at you.)
