Delicious seasonal seafood and vegetables makes this Italian eatery just varied enough to visit often but never have to eat the same thing. All their regular menu items are made to your taste and they always make you feel catered to. Excellent service staff.

Very disappointed - this was a pickup order & I was passed to three different waiters before someone would help me. I guess since no tip would be involved, I was not worth their time. I ordered the shrimp in garlic & when I got home, there were only 3 shrimp for a cost of $10.95 & there was no hint of garlic. I will go to Segovia's for my shrimp in garlic in the future.

I just got back from eating lunch at Luka's.

I live within the neighborhood. Ever since Luka's opened up my mother and I have been eyeing this restaurant. A chance for us to eat there finally came, we saw a deal on groupon for two entrees and two appetizer for lunch.

We arrived at the restaurant 1:30ish and were seated right away. The restaurant had about 5 tables occupied and there was also a company/goup luncheon with 30 (roughly) people.

As soon as we were seated, the person who seated us asked us what we would like to drink. We got our drinks and some bread... and then nothing. Our waiter didn't even show up for another 15 mins. He didn't even show up on his own, we had to flag a random server down. We asked the random server about the groupon, I have never used a groupon voucher at a restaurant, he said "yeah, you can use it" and threw it on the table as he was walking away. It was another 5 mins before our actual waiter showed up to receive our order.
Our food came rather quickly. We ate it. My father ate Gnocchi in Bolognese Sauce, my ate eggplant parm and I ate Veal specialty dish (can't remember the name of it). We ordered for my three year old daughter spaghetti with meatballs. The food was good except for the spaghetti. It tasted horrible. There was nothing wrong with the noodles, but the sauce was horrible. To be frank, I've had better tasting sauce straight out of the can in the grocery isle.
Now I get to the point where I am really writing this review. When my father's gnocchi and my daughter's spaghetti arrived, I asked the server for a plate for my daughter. I asked for it because the entree was too big for her and she would never finish it. She tends to eat light for lunch, so we wanted to feed her off a smaller plate. The server brought a plate no wider than 4inches. I asked for a different plate, because no matter how tiny a child may be... you do not feed a child off of a bread plate. Then the real horror began. He pulled the charger plate from underneath her pasta bowl and told us to feed her off of that. I don't know where he learned his waitering... you do not tell the customer to eat off a charger plate.

I was very disappointe with how they handle their customers. Their food might be great... If I just wanted the food, I would've ordered take out. You go into the restaurant for the service. My dad having to own a restaurant himself in the past left a great tip. If it was up to me, I would've not left a tip.

I will never return to Luka's to eat.

Entrees are tasty. We were told pasta came with our meal. The person at our table who ordered spaghetti got a full plate of it with their chicken entrée. 3 of us asked for penne pasta with our meat entrée, and they put one small plate of penne pasta on the table and said it was for 3 of us to share. How frugal is that?!? Pasta is cheap to buy, so why should they skimp on that? The waiter had an attitude when I said that little plate is not enough for 3 people. He said he'd bring more but never did. The pasta was slightly soggy, definitely not "al dente" like we asked for. Due to their cheapness and slight attitude, I won't be going back. But like I said, other than the pasta problem the food is good. Í just don't support businesses who don't treat the customer right.
