The drinks are a good size with a great taste and they are strong enough to know you're actually drinking something. The atmosphere is amazing with dim lighting and great music. The crowd is generally quiet.

Best bar in NYC. Friendly staff, great beers on tap, and a hell of an atmosphere.

It's your friendly neighborhood bar! Spent some time on a Sunday afternoon at this bar. The bartender was super friendly and nice. From the patrons that came by, I can tell that this is definitely a neighborhood joint. The bar shows football game on their big screen TV. They have decent craft beer selections; unfortunately, the beer tastes and smells yeasty (I'm guessing dirty beer lines). The interior of the bar is pretty classy.

The best bar in New York. You will not find a better, more hospitable, friendly bar staff coupled with a fabulous local community. This is the greatest place on Earth.

Good neighborhood bar. Bartenders were friendly and efficient although granted we were 2 of 9 people in the place on a Friday night. Draft list had a few worthwhile things (Weinhenstephaner, Pumpking) which is more or less a prerequisite in this area of Brooklyn, but as someone who lives in an area where this isn't the norm, I appreciated it. It's not dirty per se, but not really clean either; sort of dingy looking overall especially with the dim lighting. Other patrons were also friendly as well. Biggest attraction here is the large outdoor patio. This place is a good place to grab a drink in the no-man's-land known as Gowanus but nothing more.
