I took my kids to one of the special presentations at the Tenement Museum. It is called Meet Victoria Confino, and is the only one open to children as young as 5. We were pleasantly surprised at the level of organization. Everything runs efficiently, making it easy to navigate the place, from the door of the shop - which is also the ticket booth and waiting space for tours - to the tour itself. The ticket price may seem steep but it is not when you consider what is offered: a true interactive learning experience, in a place that is imbued in history. A great part of the enjoyement came from the people working at the programs. Our guide was energetic and knowledgeable. And the actress who played Victoria Confino - her real name, I researched later, is Elly Berke - simply delightful. She truly made it simple for us - particularly for my 5 yeat old son - to be transported to the times of Victoria and her family. Very talented, so natural in her demeanor and her accent. We took the tour with actual descendants of Victoria, an amazing fact. We recommend this museum and hope more people will enjoy the many rewarding discoveries it holds.
