Step back 50 years in time when restaurants always served an individual crisp, salad of iceberg lettuce, tomato complete with a sliced ­onion on top in a 70's style brown salad bowl. And, the kids will love the warm italian bread refilled over and over again. Louis is not cheap about giving you lots of pads of butter and olive oil. That is what you want from a family restaurant, the feeling of generosity. When you need a meal that doesn't feel like the kitchen is being stingy, when you want your pasta cooked to order, when you need to fill up on a no-nonsense recipe that has been in the family for generations go to Louis Seafood. Real marinara sauce does not call attention to itself, instead it does its job which is to comfort you, just like Mama. Louis is the kind of restaurant that stands the test of time. Don't be surprised if one of the owners, sitting at a nearby table, gets up and brings you over extra parmesan cheese because they heard you wanted more
