Fun, friendly, open and easy. Great drinks and always up for a challenge or creative shot. Julia is my favorite- she is always smiling and happy, even when slammed. They have little bites to enjoy, which are pretty good, but I go there to drink. Occasional tasting events and live jazz bands spice up weeknights and round out a solid all-around place. Highly recommend- especially on busy weekends. I've never had to wait for a chair- only for my friends.

Louis 649 recently changed their cocktail menu, which made me sad, but I still like this place. The location is a bit far out, but the cocktails are wonderful and the atmosphere is nice. I've generally been able to secure a table. The bartenders take their time making the drinks, but that's because they can be labor intensive. Check it out next time you're in Alphabet City.

This is THE real BAR that I would go back over and over. Order anything even super complicated drink. Or just watch how they create the art of drink while sipping single malt. So comfortable to stay there.

Great little bar with the right ambiance for a date, catching up with friends, or meeting new people. It can get really busy so service is iffy, but the drinks and vibe are worth it. Their Tuesday night tastings/events are always fun.
