I want to mention that associate Mannie Thomas is really an Excellent Associate. All associates should follow her lead in customer service. This comment is late in coming, but I could not fail to note it none the less. Several weeks ago I was in the store with several items in my hands to try on. I was having a bit of trouble keeping everything together and dropped an item a couple of times on my way across the floor to a dressing room. I passed at least 4 employees standing around having their own personal conversations... at least 2 of them looked right at me and turned away as I was picking up an item I had dropped. Not one person offered to assist me; not one asked if I wanted to check out, go to a dressing room, find something.... nothing, no contact at all. I was just steps from the dressing room thinking that the store help was really pretty useless when Mannie Thomas came over to me and sweetly said, "Let me help you...do you need a dressing room? I can put that in there for you." I don't even know where she came from, I did not see her on my way there. Now THAT is what I expect from the sales associates, not feeling like I was being looked over or like I might interrupt a personal chat about the weekend. Mannie Thomas was absolutely delightful, helpful, and very professional. She also of course asked what else she could do...did I need a size, help finding anything else, etc, and I checked out with her. I hope this reaches the management of Lord and Taylors in Eastchester because Mannie deserves recognition, and many others need some training.
