I've been going to the loose caboose every year with my father for the past 20+ years or so during the holiday season. Gary is always there to help you out and he will dig deep in his inventory to find whatever it is you need. The place may seem messy because it is small but his inventory literally reaches the roof and he knows where everything is and everything that he has. I will certainly look forward to visiting the Loose Caboose this holiday season! If you are interested in trains, this is THE place to go in Bergen County.

You will meet the gregarious owner Gary. He welcomes all interested in trains. And he somewhere stocks more things in all the scales. From Brass to Tinplate, Z to Standard Gauge. He can usually locate an obscure item for you. He welcomes visitors even when they don't make purchases. He is your friend. It is a good business model for him.
