I just had a new Trex deck installed by Long Island Decking and I could not be any happier with the entire experience. My first meeting with the owner (Jay) was to obtain an estimate for replacing my existing wood deck. After inspecting the deck, Jay spent a considerable amount of time with my wife and I discussing the different design options that we could incorporate into a new deck. He also showed us the different materials available and provided helpful suggestions that allowed us to find a solution that fit our budget.
Once work began, the entire process from removal of my old deck to the final installation went quickly and smoothly. Jay and his team are very professional and courteous. At the end of each day, they did a great job of cleaning up their work area and leaving everything in an orderly fashion. Now that the job has been completed, the final product is absolutely amazing. Not only is the structure well built, but aesthetically it is beautiful. Since this deck is built off my second story, there are a number of columns that support the structure. While I expected that these columns were going to be enclosed, I was surprised to see the level of beautiful detail that was applied to them. This degree of craftsmanship is what you would expect to find in an interior space as opposed to an outdoor area.

We bought our original Trex Deck about 8 years ago from Long Island Decking and we loved it, we just added an above ground pool and had the guys at Long Island Decking build an addition to our original deck and it's perfect, the kids can't wait to jump in. They are very prompt and do a great job.

They built my deck three years ago. spent $15,000. now, several planks are separating from the deck. The planks need more than just nailing down. I called the office and was told someone would get back to me in a day or two. They didn't call and are now refusing to repair the deck. Do not use this company unless you get at least a 5-year warranty and there is a penalty provision if they don't show up to do the repair.
