My daughters first birthday was on Saturday at a beautiful place called Sterling Gardens. I know it was a bit crazy for a first birthday but my daughter had been through alot during her first year and we wanted to celebrate.
We hired Live it up entertainment and did the 550 dollar package from 1:30 to 5:30, with the face painting and tattoos for the kids. First thing was they were 25 mins late, my guests were arriving and there was no music at all. When they did get there it looked like the girl doing the face paint rolled out of bed with a hangover and just threw her hair up, this was a formal event and my entertainment comes in with bed head. Then they had to set up which took another 20 mins. Then they started playing music that you would play at wedding not a 1 year old's birthday. Songs about BJ's and what not. They did absolutely no MCing and the DJ in the next room for another party was blowing these guys away. We had people from our party helping with the games and stuff because they had no idea what they were doing. They came with one little strobe light thing, a laptop and two speakers! This was by far the worst DJing I have ever seen and to boot the guy would not pick up our phone calls for 4 days after he took our deposit which should have been a red flag right there. I would NEVER in a MILLION years recommend this company. Truly unprofessional and just goes to show that for 5 grand you can start your own DJing company too.
