I picked up my car this weekend. I got the car i wanted and on the budget. This was a painless and easy experience. John Rivera is a great. Aims to please and very easy to talk to, feels like you know him for years. It was in and out and we didn't have to spend a whole day at a dealership. He knew we were coming in the morning and he was ready for us. Great experience, very nice dealership, great people. Easy and quick from Staten Island, worth the trip. Thank you John Rivera.

I was in the market for a 2015 Gti and began my search at dealerships that were more local to me (Jersey Shore Area) . Because of the very positive Motor Trend rating the 2015 Golf's received, they were hard vehicles to come buy or negotiate a discounted price. Plus, I became so turned off with the added local dealership fees that I was ready to move on from a Volkswagen to another brand. I was referred to Linden VW by the Costco Auto buying Program. My initial contact with the dealership and Sales Representative, Greg Stein, was all through email. I had communicated to Greg exactly what I was looking for and within the same day he provided an OTD (Out the Door) cost that was completely in line with what the major car sites, KBB and edmunds, recommended. Still being a little hesitant of doing business with a non local dealership i had let a few weeks lapse before I went to the Linden VW dealership. When I finally met in person with Greg I was thoroughly impressed with his brand knowledge and the absolute No Pressure sales environment. I took a test drive of a Gti with him to reassure my purchasing desires. I thought that since I had already driven this car at other places there wasn't anything else to find out but, boy I was wrong. Greg's detailed knowledge of the brand and vehicle specific options solidified my purchasing decision. Although, the exact vehicle i was looking for, Color and options, was very rare and not easy to come buy. I was completely ready to settle for a stepped down model but by Greg's efforts and determination he was able to find me the exact car I was looking for. My delivery and final purchase day was beyond my expectations. Absolutely, no hidden gimmicks or fees. The OTD price I was originally given was what I paid. We were also expecting snow that morning so Greg had my new car stored inside to preserver that first sight brand new car appearance. Also, that delivery day Greg spent a few hours with me going over the Gti's features and accessories in detail, including setting up my cell phone to the new head unit.
My purchasing experience was so positive at Linden VW I would highly recommend them to anybody in the market for a Volkswagen. I didn't think dealerships like this still existed, especially in New Jersey.

Went by Linden VW today to look at buying my first car.

I went in with my guard up. I was under the impression (this being my first buying experience) that you need to play down your income or what you can afford, otherwise, they will jack up the price... My experience was the extreme opposite of what I expected going to buy a new car.

I ended up buying a Passat and driving it home the same day.
They spent over 4 hours with me, going over every possibility - not once did I feel that I was getting screwed on the price. They even went out of their way to make sure that I got everything that I was looking for AND fit into my budget.

Also, I definitely recommend working with John Rios (salesperson) or the manager, Anthony. Good people.

Bought a 2010 Jetta from them in November 2012, pre-owned. Had to bring it back within a few days due to serious vibration. When I brought the car back, the first thing the General Manager said, instead of an apology, was to insinuate that I might have had an accident. After my car was "serviced" at the above location, there were still problems, and grave problems as I have discovered after spending more time and money to bring it to my mechanic. I had to leave the car at the mechanic last night and came back to the dealership only to be met, once again, my ridiculous, idiotic and frankly inane comments by the General Manager who tried to make light of the situation where I or my loved ones or others on the road could have been injured while driving one of their cars. Never Again
