I decided to write a review upon my departure from town. Two years ago, I googled ALL Bergen County schools and their towns before I made the decision of where my son would officially begin Public schooling. My son really enjoyed being a part of this school and I LOVE that they have uniforms! Our new district doesn't have them, so I want to express how much easier life is with them. (Not to mention that the kids in this town are better off security wise with the uniform policy.) I was really nervous with the curriculum in the school at first, and some other changes that happened with the teachers last year. But overall, the school is VERY informative, they have an email and phone system for contact. And even a Facebook page. I find this school to be very "hands-on". A lot of their community activities, workshops, and programs are run by their own teachers and staff, and of course moms in the pto. And trust me, you will also be invited to help.
My son's teachers always responded to my questions via email. And the website they have, has a parent to teacher service that is very resourceful. Sadly, looking into his "new" elementary school in another town they don't have these perks, so it would be good to take full advantage like I did on all the things Lillian Steen school, and Bogota offers for your child. Best of luck to you
