An excellent experience and an excellent outcome. I came to Dr. Shavelson with a problem that has been developing on joints of both feet for years. I have been running for 40 years and I hope to continue for another few years. Dr. Shavelson took the time on my first visit to properly diagnosis my condition, and assure I fully understood my condition, its causes and options. While surgery is probably inevitable to entirely alleviate the cause of my pain, Dr. Shavelson performed some mechanical adjustments, instructed me on necessary changes to my running mechanics, taught me some key exercises and fit me with custom orthodics. I left the office after my first visit feeling a little better and returned in a few days feeling very much better. I have continuously made progress and improved to the point that I am no longer thinking of surgery in the near future. I am back to running at the frequency and pace that I enjoy without discomfort.
