I love Lidia's. From the food to the overall ambiance, never a negative experience. If you go, don't forget to try the Spinach Empanadas or to BYOB for some Sangria. Delicious & great service. 5 Stars.

WOW, so where do I begin. How about price? WAY OVER priced for the quality of food they serve at this place. $12 for a flavorless Cuban sandwich and $6 extra if I want to share it??!!! REALLY??? Get over yourself. Yes its decent size, but that doesn’t matter when it is flavorless. The only thing that had flavor in the Cuban sandwich was the store bought ham. Talking about store bought, I had it with the congri. Wow. I would have had better rice if I would have gone to the store and bought the black rice and beans goya makes and messed up following the instructions myself. That’s exactly how it tasted by the way. Like it was store bought and they messed up on the instructions. As an appetizer I had the tostones con picadillo. The Sloppy Joe meat they serve at school cafeterias tastes better. It tasted like it was made days ago and was really oily too. They did offer free bread, half way during the meal, which was stale at one point but reheated nicely. By the way, this was the best part of the meal. I really don’t understand how this place stays open. I give it a star because its in a safe area. Aside from that, please get a new chef or recipes. This is not authentic Cuban food, it is a sad excuse for it. I do not recommend this place to anyone, ESPECIALLY if you have never had Cuban cuisine. You’ll be utterly disappointed.

Sunday July 5th went in for take out at 6PM because I loved the beach burrito which was there before Lidia's. Apparently they are "done with takeout for the night". One would come to think that on the day after 4th of July, at dinner time, they would offer take out. The huge sign outside said so. I'll never go back. "The oven" up the street it is :)

Went a week ago and we waited an hour for our food! The Red snapper WAS my favorite! This time it was unseasoned, dry and overcooked! Something changed for the worst!
