i cant believe the smell of poop in this place!!!!!!!!!! DIRTY NOTHING HUMANE ABOUT THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!
the poor pittbulls sitting in those smelly cages for hours this place is under staff they should not take anymore dogs in!!!!!!!!! they are 3 girls sitting in the front doing nothing if you are there with this horrible smell get to the back and start scrubbing otherwise you are completely useless to these poor animals in need half of these dogs should be shipped out to a shelter that could attend to them properly the dogs are being hosed down outside and being left outside to dry in the cold shame on you !!!!!!!

Taking my review back. Met with the dog about 2 weeks ago, put my name down and called every other day during the week. Every time I called they had to find my application, and kept telling me the dog wasn't ready needed to be spaded and afterwards they would begin evaluating the applicants. Called again today and someone came in on Sunday and took the dog. Thanks a lot guys, had I not called I would still be waiting. If you're going to adopt make sure they tell you how many applicants so you don't waste your time. I gave it 2 stars because at least they were polite on the phone. I get it this is a volunteer organization, but it doesn't take much to group the applications and send out even an email to let an applicant know the status. They shouldn't be surprised people can get tied to an animal quite quickly.

I think that LHS is doing the best that they can do considering the high volume of dogs that are brought in there! When I went to visit some dogs, everyone was clean and nicely taken care of. To the person above that was complaining about her dog being put down.. Its very sad, I agree! Though, if you cared that much about your dog, why drop off at a high kill shelter? I'm sure your dog was a sweet dog, but in shelters as busy as that one, Im sure it caused so much stress on him! When stress is brought on, they act out. unfortunately, thats what happens in a kill shelter.. and like I said.. if you could keep him, why bring him there? Shelters should be last resort!!
