Hotel Alex was a fine experience. Though it wasn't the cleanest environment, the staff was very hospitable. They were wiling to adjust the thermostat when it got too cold, provide food when I was hungry, and most importantly, play games with me when I got bored. It's also in a convenient location near the subway stop. Sweet view of the Hudson River too. And best of all, there's always bj there.
