I have lived in LeFrak for 6 months--and LOVE it! I have never had any bugs, rodents, noise problems, etc. The building is clean (except for the occasional tenant that doesn't know what trash chutes are for-and leaves the trash in the trash room...). However, the trash rooms are cleaned daily. Maintenance has a good response time. My apartment is a 2 bedroom, 1.5 bath, with a terrace. It's a great deal!!

Please feel free to get an apartment here if you're a welfare, section 8 degenerate that likes to steal money from hard working people. This place definitely caters to you!! I had a ridiculous leak in my apartment 2 months ago because the lady above me(section 8) broke her sink and flooded her apartment. Of course this sorry excuse of a management company says they are not responsible for my damages. I had to replace my sofa and bed with money I don't have. My walls are all moldy and brown. They won't even come by to paint. Oh, but wait, they replace the free loader's apartment, but not mine. Then they tried to evict me when I asked for my money! Really??? It's your fault but you want to evict me for asking for my money back!! I pay my rent on time every month and never gave them any issues, and this is how they treat their good tenants. I guess I have no other choice but to see them in court.

The only good thing about lefrak is that it's close to the malls and transportation is easy. Besides that if you can find something better, please do!

-Take heart friends, it is a nice place to live and convenient to all shopping areas (Queens Center Mall, and Rego Parks Shopping Center) and public transportation within a walking distance. Food Bazaar Grocery Store locates nearby. Elevator Bldg. (London / Paris Bldg.) :-)
-Over the years that I have lived here, the rent has always been going up and up by as much as 10% and more. The rent can go up during the lease due to a so called a Major Capital Improvement (MCI). It is the cost that past onto the tenants monthly and can be retroactive back. It is getting expensive to live here. :-(
-Issues that need to be address over time are Pest/Rodent, water leaks, painting jobs, mold and mildew, caulking, plumbing, faucet/valves, garbage chute closure, limited laundry facility, limited parking space, Sound&Air pollution from street/construction and from good neighbor at times, ineffective communication with Bldg. superintendent to obtain repair work order and fire safety.

They are trying to turn it around here but its going to take some years. The people that have been here for years are simply disgusting and don't take care of the building. Dogs use the bathroom in the hallways and elevators and people don't clean up behind them. Piles of trash make the property stink and brings rats running in the parking lot. There were bug and mice infestations that maintenance took 3 months to finally come in and fix. People use their balconies as storage and garage, so it becomes trashy and an eye sore for the neighborhood.
The front office employees never call you back when you have an issue. You have to wait days for a request or a reply from them.
I'm moving out ASAP and would not move back here ever again!!!
