A friend and I stayed at Lefferts Manor last June, and I have to say that I agree with the previous reviews. This B&B is awesome. We were running late for check in, so we called the host Mark and he was totally willing to work with us. Upon arrival, we found our room very inviting: gorgeous natural lighting and comfortable (California?) King bed. We had no issues with the shared bathroom. The building was beautiful and secure, we felt totally at ease during our stay. I will definitely stay here again.

Elena, kids do not belong in a B and B. Take them to a hotel where they can run and romp, and tear things up. These are your rugrats and they do not belong there. It's not discrimanitory. WTF takes a kid to a B and B? That is what hotels are for. This is a first rate B and B and I asure you, they are not losing business because you and your devilish children were not allowed to check in. If you had of taken the time to read the rules you would have known that under ten was not allowed. I can imagine waking up to a 1 year old kid screaming. I would have been ready to sever some heads if I had of paid my money and I woke up to a crazy kid screaming!!

I showed up and they had made an honest mistake and double booked my room - i was the second one to show up, so I had to find another hotel. The problem was I had an uber driver waiting on me, so I had to go somewhere close and didn't have time to find a great deal. So i stayed at the Sheraton in downtown Brooklyn, almost $100 per night more than Lefferts.
I'll be damned if Mark didn't call me back, and offer to make up the difference in cost of hotel, PLUS the uber ride! Stand up guy that Mark, I would trust his B&B on my next stay in NY. Oh and the Sheraton had clogged shower drains and a broken AC. 1 star for them.

What a wonderful stay we had in this B&B. It did feel like a home away from home. It is clean and quit. The beds are very comfy. It is a nice neighborhood whith a really good cafe *tip of the tongue' just on the way to the Q-train which will take you to Manhattan in no time. You get so much more for your money compared to Manhattan and it is very nice to go to wonderful Brooklyn at night after being in hectic Manhattan all day.

I really wanted to go and visit with my 1-year-old. He is a mellow guy, no screams, nothing. BUT this place is discriminatory against children. I deplore this. They are losing a good amount of great nice educated children and the money and prestige that goes with their parents. Deplorable and sad.
