We took our 2 family cars here since moving to westchester. State inspections, gas fill up, oil changes, and tire changes. We were good customers.
2 months ago (August 2010), we got an oil change on our family car. We put approximately 1,500 miles on the car and the maintenance light comes on when we're heading out for a week-end trip (200 miles). The manual says to check the engine oil level, which we do when we get to our week-end destination. Turns out the car has only 1 quart of oil (it's supposed to have 5)! I run to a local gas station and put 4 qrts in the car for trip home. Once we get home we try to explain the situation to the manager and ask for a refund for the oil change that apparantly was not performed. After a caustic interaction he exclaims: "why don't you just sue me". We were appalled. Our local place. The local mechanic. No need to wonder why everyone in our neighborhood is no longer using their service. BEWARE! This guy is a crook.
