Learning Ladders has provided a great nurturing learning environment for child. The 6:1 student to teacher ratio for the pre-K programs is probably the best you can find. The small class size allows the teachers to give more attention to each individual child and accommodate their specific interests and needs.

Everyday there is a take-home note outlining the day's activities so I can always know what my child has learned and talk about related topics at home. My child has been through three different daycares in Jersey City and this is the only place that provides daily notes.

The school's owner, educational director and teachers are very kind and accommodating. The teachers are experienced and care about the children.

The facility is very new, nice and clean. The bathrooms are very neat and well maintained. The library is well-stocked with lots of great new books.

I would strongly recommend learning ladders to anyone looking for quality daycare in Jersey City.

My friend and I, we both checked out Learning Ladders in March and April respectively so we can compare notes. Both of us liked the facility in terms of convenience, minimal closings, staff profile, professionalism, curriculum. They were very transparent about the policies, tuition etc (and yes 2 months withdrawal is common and certainly much better than many other places where you have to sign a year's contract- I toured at least 5 other places). I even talked to the staff when the director who was giving me tour stepped out of the class for few moments to attend to a phone call from a parent. My child started there last month (my friend's starting in July) and so far I am glad I went with my gut and positive reviews not with some negative ones. While talking to my sister living in other state I realized that no place is good or bad for all parents alike. It is like to each to its own based on your own realistic expectations, willingness to abide by school's policies and not looking for exceptions.

Location and facilities are great, The problem is with management, ask about the management's reputation before committing. Beware the 60 day contract which no other decent day care has, must pay by bank direct deposit (I've never come across a business in USA with such a requirement). Some classes required a 1 year (not a typo) contract, not sure if that's still true.

Get ready to see a mysterious 5 star review (by the owner) after each negative review is posted. Seriously, every other daycare in the area is full for all classes, some of the room only have 4-5 kids in them! Only a management change can save this place because the location is great

Do not fall for this place for convenience. I fell into the trap as a busy parent. Owner and Director are very good to lie. Their staff is threatened to be fired if they tell the truth of mismanagement, accidents, and they do not care of your child but only money. And worst of all, a teacher hit my child with stacked cots (base of a mattress) on her head due to reckless behavior, and i do have evidence of this and unreported bites and bruises. It is my responsibility with other parents to warn them. Do not fall for this trap. Your child is worth all you can do to protect them. I do not understand how they are still opened. I finally know how to report that they risked my child well being and it is my social responsibility to let the proper authorities know of this situation so they action.

We’ve been sending our daughter to Learning Ladders since she was two months old. It was a tough decision to put her in daycare so young, but the teachers really made us very comfortable leaving him from our very first week. Each teacher seems genuinely excited to see our daughter every morning, and they are just as excited as we are to watch her developmental milestones. They are always available to answer questions for us or to help with our daughter’s ever changing feeding and nap schedules.

The school organizes so many activities each week. They bring in outside music performers, soccer coaches, even a petting zoo. Even in the youngest class, the teachers make a huge effort to modify the activities so that all the students can participate. We’ve really been thrilled with how well our son has done at Learning Ladders. Our daughter just turned two this January, and is excited to go to school every day! Needless to say, that we are thankful for our decision.
