Very good all around. The filet mignon was fantastic and the beef stew delicious as well. The service was welcoming and offered a great vibe to the experience. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Said the wait was 20 minutes. We were sat 1 hr later after everyone else waiting left. Then our food took another hour after the table next to us sat, got their food, ate, and left. Also, surprise...cash only.

Food was decent.

Nice neighborhood French bistro with great savory crepes and strong coffee. They have a small garden in the back.

There used to be a Le Gamin by my old place in the East Village. That location closed and a new one popped up in my new neighborhood of Greenpoint. The decor is nice, the servers are always nice (and not as glacial as the ones in the EV location), and more importantly, the food is really great. I especially love the tartine with homemade jam and the french toast, which is one large slice here and kind of custardy. My boyfriend enjoyed his lamb sandwich, as well.
