Great rabbit fettuccine, not the best service

Took some out-of-towners here to show off the culinary gems found a little off the beaten path. We were all amazed. Service was excellent, the food was dollar-for-dollar near the best NYC offers and the beer list was fantastic (did not expect this small Italian place to have such a great craft beer list). Hope to make it back soon...

(would note that the restaurant is very small so hard not to get to know your neighbors a little bit -- we were lucky that we sat next to a couple who were regulars at Lavagna and they made a few suggestions including one off-menu entree that 2 people in my party ended up ordering and absolutely loving. Point of the story, feel free to ask the waiter if they can do some off-menu stuff)

Amazing staff with great knowledge. Even when busy they remain very nice and helpful. The food is great and varied, plus you can get half-sized portions for most dishes.
