Very very good food and service

This food was not good, or average at best. A waste of $12 for an escovitch fish meal with rice & peas and no salad.

I went there late a night (after 11pm) to buy food for my girlfriend. I ordered the escovitch fish with rice & peas. Normally the food comes with a salad on the side but the guy said it wasn't anymore. I asked if I could have something else to substitute the salad and he said no, I assume because he didn't want to make anymore salad at that time, and they were too cheap to offer something else EVEN though I was paying for the meal (which comes with a side of salad).

So I ordered the food anyway (without salad), only because my girlfriend was hungry. The guy took the escovitch put it on a ceramic plate and went to the back, which I assume he went to microwave the fish because it was steaming hot when he came back. Long story short, the food was not good and my girlfriend didn't enjoy it.

Also there was a lot of food available at like 11pm in the night when I went. This leaves me to believe that they were going to recycle the food for tomorrow, which is why he wouldn't give me another side because they could just sell it tomorrow.

And there was an older, short, dark skin guy who worked there and appeared drunk, talking crap (to himself) about people leaning on the bread. He was also sparring with the coworker who was serving me my food and I was just looking at them in annoyance like my girlfriend is hungry, can we hurry up. Even if the food isn't good you could at least have good customer service, but they failed at both.

I would never come back to this place EVER, EVER again.

SUMMARY
-Food was not good, in my opinion.
-If you come for a meal too late and there isn't a side you probably won't be able to subsitute it with anything else. This was the case with me!
-Bad customer service, in my opinion.
-They recycle unused food for the next day. So when you think your eating fresh food, it's actually reheated food from yesterday. The guy did in fact reheat my fish in a microwave!

The food is to die for. The wait sometimes a bit long but the food is worth the wait. Seafood and jamaican dishes are worth going miles to have .... staff courteous and attend to detail. Hope they introduce breakfast menu soon
