Paul Booth is the BEST Tattoo artist in the world. I am so lucky to have finally gotten an appointment with Paul, as he is literally booked out for the next few years, he is in big demand. People fly from all over the world to get tattoos from Paul and his tattoo disciples. I have a huge Jimi Hendrix tattoo on my right thigh and everyone who sees it is in awe and they all want to know who did that amazing tattoo. And I tell them "Paul Booth of Last Rites, NYC". I am so grateful.

Super clean, upscale art gallery, with a dark themed section upstairs. Both galleries have very nice art, a must see! There's also a very cool tattoo shop downstairs. I think this place is owned by the world famous Paul Booth, a definite must see if you're a tattoo shop/art fiend.

Last Rites Tattoo Theatre is the only place I will ever get tattoos from! The shop is owned by Paul Booth who is one of the most amazing and talented tattoo artists you will ever see! It is very difficult to book an appointment with him. There is usually a 2 year waiting list if you want him to tattoo you. However he has put together a team of three other amazing artists. Each artist specializes in different types of tattoos. For example one of the artist specializes in portraits. I watched him as he was tattooing a portrait and it was so amazing! It looked so realistic! I have never see anything that amazing before.

The artist I went to was Timothy Boor. He specializes in detail, which was really important for the tattoo I wanted. This was my first tattoo so I was really nerves! I am really bad at describing, so when I had my consolation with him all I said was, "I want a scorpion somewhere on my side. I don't want it too look too masculine or too girly. I also want color and I want my name written in Greek somewhere on the scorpion." I didn't even bring any pictures to show him. He said, "okay make an other appointment in two weeks and I will have a design for you." Two weeks later I come back and he showed me his design on his ipad. It was everything I wanted and more!! I couldn't believe that he made that design out of my terrible description!

As I said before it was my first tattoo so I was really scared! He was really funny and made me feel at ease. The other artist are in the same room so everyone is talking and having fun. It made the pain a little easier to stand. I got this tattoo done two years ago and I still get complements on it! People always ask me if my tattoo is new because the color is so rich! It is a two year old tattoo that looks like a 1 month old! I really recommend this place if you looking for a quality tattoo. My parents don't even like tattoos and they love mine! Now that's saying something!
