LaGuardia Performing Arts Center

I didn't like my experience at this school. I actually saw the review part of this at random while looking up some information on the school and felt a need to post a review after seeing the previous posts on here and agreeing with just about everything else that the reviewers above me posted. I thought maybe it was just me as I am the laziest student ever I kind of just let it go. I rarely showed up to class, did homework, or did the reading and yet somehow I received good grades. It almost felt like you could write down just about anything on a paper and hand it in.... you know like those essay questions at the end of tests... the stuff that shows you actually have an understanding of the information that you supposedly learned...and somehow you would get a good grade on it. Ive never had so many classes where open-textbook/notes situations for both tests, midterms but also FINALS? smh.. Most of the teachers don't really care if you attend class, pass, fail or are struck by a bolt of lightening. Especially at night time, you have to deal with mostly adjunct teachers who can be decrepitly old, senile, and/or with language barriers making it extra hard to even understand whats going on let along making it an easier learning environment. My last semester I was going through financial and housing problems and had to leave school in the middle of the semester. I spoke with all of my teachers about the problems I was having and provided documentation for them to withdraw me from the semester of classes without penalizing me which I was concerned about because I was attending school thanks to a pell grant. They ended up not withdrawing me and I received failing grades my last semester, the pell grant money was taken back, and I now owe the school 2500 for a semester of classes where I was only able to attend one class before I was having to deal with issues like the electricity being turned off by a scumbag landlord, having to go to housing court for said landlord, being unemployed, and an accident that had me making frequent visits to the hospital. They simply didnt give a sh!t. Thumbs down in my book... but maybe it was just me... or everybody else that left a review? IDK

I had the worst experience in this college. Neither the administrative staff nor the academic staff is even slightly helpful. They are not concerned weather you pass, fail or even attend the class. They do not want to help you in any shape or form. The campus is the worst of all the campuses I have seen. The computers in the library are always full you will never be able to get a computer unless you are willing to wait for 25 to 45 min. Do not go to this college, you would be waiting your time and money going to this college and you will not learn anything.

I have been in this school for the past year and I am currently transfering over to BMCC. This school is the worst for a night student. I work in the morning and go to school at night. This was working for me very well until I was done with all my pre classes like math english etc. When I was ready to go into all the good stuff you know my major classes I had a horrible time trying to get into any they only offered one class at night and when I did apply it was cancelled at the last mintue. Most class are offered at the same time and I dont know about you but I am unable to be at 2 places at once. I went to the major deparment and they were no help they were trying to skipp me 2 classes to put me in a #3 class. I didnt take it because I was going to be lost. Over all this school DOSE NOT care about night students at all.
