Wow, we got a Christmas gift from lacka safe. Here's the story- we bought two safes from lacka safe five years ago. This year we needed another safe, and so we talked to Max. When we first ordered it he said we will have the safe within the next week. We had given a deposit and were going to pay the rest upon delivery. However, the safe didn't arrive in the next two weeks because they were busy moving to a new location. Now finally they delivered the safe today and when I saw it, I realized this safe was worth much more than the one he selected. I called up Max and he said that don't worry about it and that this is a Christmas gift for you, you don't have to pay rest of the money. Lacka safe guys know how to keep the customer happy which is why they have been in service for a very long day time. .

RUN don't walk, RUN away from this company. They took my money in full ( not as agreed upon ) and for 3 weeks promised to deliver 2 safes. We ended up with only empty promises and lots of daily bull from the owner Mak. Can't say enough about the trama this company caused us for not delivering. It cost us $750. in freight company charges for them to show up 5 times at Lacka's building, only to be told the safes were not ready for pickup, when we had been told Mak would be there for pickup, and they were ready to go. They do not have their act together and you would be wise to do business someplace else.

5 Star Company!! I highly recommend Lacka Safe, Jamie and his team were very professional and did an outstanding job. They arrived early, installed the safe and made sure everything was perfect before they left. The safe was exactly as described and I will use them again.

I searched for a proper firearm safe for over six months. Before that, I made a point of educating myself on the subject of safe ratings. What I learned about containers sold in the big-box stores flat-out shocked me. Most of those containers are so poorly constructed that you can rattle the locked door in and out by about 1/8 to 3/16", and the bolts only rested on the inner edge of the door frame rather than sliding into individual recesses like on a real safe. It didn't take a rocket scientist to figure an enthusiastic 16-year-old with a crow bar could pop one of them open without breaking a sweat! Then I searched YouTube for safe-cracking videos, and became ill. My worst fears (and then some) about big-box store "safes" were all there in living color. All the fancy paint-jobs, pin striping, trick gun racks and big-spoke spinner handles were worthless, as were the slick-looking concealed hinges. My #1 concern was theft and the resulting illegal use of my weaponry. I knew a shark lawyer and a federal judge could make my life miserable with a wrongful-death suit and unless I exercised due-diligence, I could end up several million in debt. (this is not an exaggeration)

I quickly realized I required the services of a real safe professional. I checked out several of these firms and found their customer service skills lacking, especially for a residential customer. At first, I had hoped to find a used safe that could be adapted to my needs. Unfortunately, it seemed that few of these firms kept track of their own stock and rarely if ever looked at their e-mail.

Many internet searches later I finally found Lackasafe. This is an established family business very well-known in the industry; not some fly-by-night Internet website. They have a very nice showroom where you can see/touch/operate many of the safes they sell and I found myself wishing I had more time to browse it. Dealing with Jaime was a pleasure as was Mak. They both know the industry very well and took the time to get to know my needs as a customer. Mak even gave me his personal cell number to walk me through setting the combination. Above all, they wanted me to be happy with the purchase. Mind you, these folks deal with the large commercial firms all the time and every review I read about them was spectacular. I was treated as every bit as important as a diamond dealer in NYC. Where else do you get customer service that great anymore?

I finally settled on the Original Safe & Vault line, which offered the best bang-for-the-buck I could find anywhere. This line of safes I'm told was designed by the founder of Lackasafe (a 40-plus year veteran in the business) and IMHO made anything the other dealers and manufacturers had in the same price range look woefully inadequate. After doing my homework, I felt that going with any other safe was false economy and only would result in an equally false sense of security.

The installation team were experts and showed up precisely on-time! It was quite a treat to watch them move a 4000# safe with coordinated precision. Wish I had videoed it! They are great professionals and were a pleasure to have in the home.

I would recommend Lackasafe to everyone and especially the Original Safe & Vault line they carry. Lackasafe will be my go-to security resource from now on.
