AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Server was unattentative. We had to ask for grated cheese for our food 3 different times and a busser finally brought it. She never checked on how it tasted or anything. And they have FORCED 18% TIP. DO NOT GO TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. BLAND BORING FOOD POOR SERVICE

Ok so the pizzeria is fine. The restaurant though has absolutely deplorable service. Not only did I get seated at a table without table settings and utensils in place, it took 10 minutes for us to get menus. Moving on, the waiter tried to work his "humor" on us, instead of taking our orders....which is fine when waiters try to be your friends, but you have to be good at your job first.
Food comes (after about 45 minutes), its good, nothing spectacular, and then when its time for the check, I'm handed the check for the wrong table, so then I'm like this isn't our stuff....he then proceeds to write the new check in front of us, and incorrectly calculated the tax.
Sadly, my family loves this place so I'm familiar with it to know that the service is always this poor, close the "ristorante" and stick with the pizzeria.

I order from La Sorrentina's at least once a week. The pizza there is TO DIE FOR: hands down the best I've ever had - not just in NYC, but anywhere period. I typically order delivery, but a few times I've stopped by to get takeout and the restaurant is always clean, the staff is always polite and respectful. If you're looking for real Italian food in the heart of Brooklyn, you can't go wrong by eating here!

been there a few times special occasions birthday anniversaries. The baked clams are incredible the pasta clam sauce carbonara pesto it is all delicious. The service is excellent the glasses at my tables were never empty and the prices are reasonable. I went there last with my wife and mother for their birthdays. We had appetizers pasta dishes coffee and desert which he put on the arm I might add for the birthdays. I left a $50 tip for the waiters but the evening cost me $150 for all 3 of us to eat and we had baked clams and prosciutto and some other Italian specialties. If you don't like this place you are crazy.

This place is way mediocre. The food is good but not great, but the prices would make you think it should be amazing. I've also have felt a bit queasy after eating a slice.
A can of soda is a $1.50. Really?
Service can suck too. But there isn't a better pizza place in that near vicinity. So if your in the area and don't have a car go to La Sorrentina. It's your be bet.
