I love this Mexican restaurant. It's under the radar, but it shouldn't be because it serves some of the best Mexican food in New York City. They serve an excellent brunch. I love their huevos rancheros, the bacon jalapeno shrimp, and the steak and eggs. They make great tacos! Beware of their habanero salsa, it's for real and hot, but delicious. The service seems a little bit under skilled, but the attitude of the staff is always very warm and hospitable.

Musica ed arredo perfetti. Il cibo e' buonissimo, presentato con cura e premura per qualita' ed attenzione. Il proprietario e' un gentleman di altri tempi. Siamo stati benissimo.

Food is memorably good. Would definitely return the next time I'm in the 'hood.

This place is terrific.
The food is creative, thoughtful, and most importantly delicious. The setting is warm and welcoming. But what really makes this place stand out is the unmatched service (although calling it 'service' really doesn't do it justice since it is more like walking into your best friend's place who happens to be an amazing chef).
I've only been a few times, but the owner and his wife have already begun welcoming me like I'm part of the family.
A few personal highlights:
- the homemade tortillas are outrageously good
- they serve a roasted habanero condiment that's amazing (but watch out)
- the pajaro (mexican stew with duck) is one of the best things i may have ever tasted
- the back patio/garden is awesome! beautifully landscaped, and the owner has built a bunch of really cool furniture out of salvaged wood
- they have Pacifico on tap
I absolutely love this place. Amazing addition to the neighborhood!
