La Havana 59

After a high expectation for visiting this restaurant i felt completed disappointed at first because of the way a was treated by the lady at the reception. After getting there she just took the menu and walked away without even telling us to follow her. She basically left us standing there. Probably she thought that she was still at her home with her puppies. What a welcome!!! My recommendation is please to train better your employees. They have to understand that the minimum that we deserve is a good attention.
Secondly the food is not totally cuban, not bad not the best in the world....just decent.

Good food and very fun when they have live music and DJ. Avoid it on busy nights, unless you are just going for dancing and drinks. Expect Bad Service on those nights. Unfortunately, the server who took care of our party was very rude and made everyone feel unwelcome. It took more than 20 minutes for someone to even bring water and they simply made me and my party feel as if they were doing us a favor to host.
The server was making faces and rushing people to order. We actually skipped ordering appetizers because of that and the delay. When she brought the check, I told her that I forgot to ask for a birthday cake, I also asked if she could add it to the bill. She got very upset and told me I should have ordered it earlier when I first came in. She said that now, she had to print another bill and walked away as if I had bothered her. I get it... It was probably inconvenient, but I am paying for the food and the service. After all, they add 20% tip automatically for large parties.I understand it was a busy night, but as someone who worked in the restaurant industry for 10 years, both serving and managing a restaurant, I can assure you that is not a way any customer should be treated in any establishment. We had a great night dancing, but never again.

Thank you havana 59! I visited Havana this past easter to celebrate my mother's 40th birthday and I called an hour in advance to reserve a table for 14 people. When we got there one of our guests called to let us know an extra three people were coming and the manager was very gracious about accommodating the extra people. The waiters and staff were very pleasant and attentive. The food was amazing, no complaints from anyone in our party! My husband and I had the paella with half a lobster and it was delicious. The drinks were also really good. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant and recommending it to every one we know.
