Promo girl handed me a free trial membership card and I told her that I wouldn't leave unless they could match the price I pay at my gym ($30 a month at an equally nice gym with the same amenities and guest privileges). She got on the phone and talked to a manager and said that they could match the price that I pay. I called to verify on my day off with someone who also spoke to a manager and verified that they would be able to still do that seeing as they gym is closer to my job than home it was about a 40 minute drive to get there. I get there and they try and spin things on me. Guy over the phone said if I wasn't happy with the $99 down they could lower it to $29 down I get there, that is now back up to the $99 and the membership doesn't include guest privileges like he originally said. Even though he quoted me the price and what it includes, I make the 40 minute drive just to waste my time and give me the hard sell. I'm glad you decided to BS me only then to be like "yeah I know what you were told over the phone but that's not true we can't actually give you the price we quoted you". Hopefully the owners figure out soon enough that these sleazy used car sales and type sales people that they have on staff are doing more harm than good for the reputation of their club. It's a shame because once you get past these clowns at the front door the club looks like it is actually very nice and well maintained.

Nice gym with terrible management. My membership has not be setup correctly after a few months and 4 separate conversations. The weights are constantly an mess, very clean though. (update) Even more of a mess. There are usually only half of the dumbbells racked and never organized, and this is when they open Now the instructors can't even be bothered to show up on time. 15 minutes late for a 60 min class. I would be embarrassed if I was managing this place

Pros:
*brand new equipment

* good price

*large gym floor

*basketball court

*cycling

*racquetball

*lots of cardio machines and weight lifting options

*cleaning lady spotted every morning on the gym floor

*rarely crowded early morning (6 am) or weekend evenings

Cons:
*still no WiFi months after opening

*weird paper towel/foam dispenser (looks like hand sanitizer) for cleaning equipment - never used so there is dried sweat all over all the cardio machines. They need to upgrade to sanitizing wipes or a spray bottle cleaner with the paper towels.

*extremely warm on the gym floor - like HOT. At least 10 degrees warmer than in reception area downstairs - even early morning at 6 am

*no towels - on gym floor or in locker room, must bring your own

*barely any classes offered

*no kid care on Sunday

The manager thinks he can talk to you however he want. So they can get more money out your pocket. Signed up twice and both times my contract was never found in the system. Decided to go on as a guest to someone else contract and they wanted to change that too so they can get some type of commission out of me. Not my fault LA can't charge my card correctly. Saying my card was declined

I have been to many gyms on both East and West Coast (LA Fitness in Irvine, Ca) of the US. The location is great. The staff very helpful and Brian the manager on point with helping me. i feel really comfortable walking into the gym as the staff greets you in a professional matter.
