I honestly do not understand the people giving a bad rating to this gym. The gym is great. It's not the cleanest i've seen but it's not as bad as people describe here. For the people complaining about the price, go to retro then you cheap focks!

BEWARE FERNANDO (General Manager) scams you. Fernando told me to pay for my gym memebership in one payment for 3 years and said "he would throw in the guest priviliages" 2 weeks later we end finding out he never did that for us. Now he denying the whole thing I will post this all over the internet. BEWARE OF THIS LA FITNESS. I will be filing a BBB complaint as well as a Consumer Affair Complaint with the state of NJ. This is the biggest low blow in business.

I've been going here for more than a year only because it's convenient to my location. The gym has so much potential but poor management and overall poor employees really bring this place down. Good machines and good weights but so poorly kept.

This has got to be the worst gym in the entire Tri- State Area. Let me tell you a little bit about this so called LA Fitness "Signature" Club. First things first this club is the filthiest club around now there is a re-racker who actually is doing his job and re racking the weights but before there were a lot of weights all over the place. The pool and jacuzzi is almost closed every single time, and when it is not closed it's like your at Mountain Creek, for those that don't know what Mountain Creek is its a water park where the water is at a freezing temperature. That is how the pool is in this place it's cold.
The mens locker room is always a complete mess there are always towels everywhere there are sometimes these teenage boys that mess around in the locker room and decided to throw their towels anywhere they feel like. You would think the older members would actually put their own towels back, but I forgot it's Secaucus and everyone is a lazy fat **** who can't bend over to pick up a towel to put in the basket. The basketball court forget about it you have people playing in their that think they should be in the NBA, its ridiculous.
Overall based on the gym itself this is what we have, we have a messy gym well not as much now because of the re-rackers, the towel situations sometimes are unbelievable you would think the chips in the towels would prevent it from getting stolen, WRONG!. The mens locker room is like your walking into hell with all these dirty towels almost everywhere on the floor.
Now onto the staff, I would like the time to say that the night staff has got to be the best staff in this location. Im not talking about the sales staff because lets face it they are all lazy workers that think they can boss people around like the sales manager they have now I believe his name is Harid or Harold w.e his name is he is probably the worst sales manager ever. What I do want to give a great review on is the night front desk staff, although rite now there is someone different who is an excellent worker I believe her name is Alissa the previous front desk staff Carlos was an excellent worker as well, also the janitors in this place actually work really hard at their jobs. The night front desk staff is the best the day staff idk as much.
Lets move on the the prices of this location for a gym like this messy and absolutely completely horrible, I think they should bring this down to a regular LA Fitness and make the LA Fitness in Paramus a Signature club because lets face it for the prices in Secaucus I rather work out at Retro Fitness which is cheaper and much cleaner than this trash. If you don't have a membership they send you to the sales manager where he talks about bullshit prices and shows you prices on the paper where I know for a fact it is completely fake. I AM GOING TO LET EVERYONE HERE KNOW THE EXACT PRICES OF THIS GYM. THE EXACT PRICES ARE FOR 0 DOWN YOU PAY $49.95 A MONTH, IF YOU PUT $100 DOWN YOU PAY $44.95 A MONTH I BELIEVE. Those are the set prices for LA Fitness in Secaucus. The sales people or the sales manager is going to show you a bullshit paper that says $200 down you pay $60 a month or $80 a month I don't remember what it said. It's complete bullshit, you know why because these use that paper saying "oh our membership is $80 a month but if you join today I can bring that down by half and I can do $100 down to $45 a month." Yea I don't know who your fooling but you ain't fooling me.
My overview of this review, the Sales Manager is completely horrible as well as this horrible gym, the only good review i have is for the night front desk staff. Other than that if i had the option to give this gym a good -5 stars I would because that is what it deserves.

This is the type of gym that lets anyone and I mean anyone go here. I've seen with my very own eyes people stealing others belongings when they go drink some water. The weights are not wiped down and everything is all over the place. If you go to this gym my best recommendation to you is to please make sure you have your personal belongings with you or leave them in your car.

There's been instances in this gym where a member takes out money to go buy a shake or something and moments later someone goes in and tells one of these cleaning people that its their locker, gives them a whole story or what not, shortly after they steal whatever they have to steal off the clipped locker. They should emphasize more ID when it comes to that scenario. The night staff they are very friendly but all day time staff, if you lose something, whether it is earphones, phone, or anything in general, chances are 100% of the time it will never appear in the so called "lost and found" they have.

This gym when it comes to its workers and cleaning people they are worse than the cleaning people in an airport. Just absurd with all the madness. Lastly dont bring friends and family around, god forbid you can get an extra day for them to attend the facility, they end up charging $25 dollars a day and have to speak to management so they may enforce a "rule" so they may try and get a sale... horrible (as stated night staff is the most friendly) during the day by far the worse staff i have ever came across.
