LA Fitness

The gym is nice - the staff is lack luster and only there to swipe your id. My locker was robbed (broken into - literally - the lock was smashed) - the lock was broken and my wallet stolen (okay - bad move on my part leaving my wallet in my pants pocket). Manager insisted I must have dropped my wallet in the parking lot - and he said this with a straight face when i was standing there with the damaged lock.

Dirty. Messy. Cleaning staff non-existent. I go only for location and price. You get what you pay for.

Worst experience. They give away free 7 day passes to try the gym before you sign up. Went in to use it and was basically bullied into signing up(which I didn't) and was asked why I couldn't sign up today about 100 times. The man I met with was rude and non professional.

I was also told they dont allow non-members to use the gym because of insurance purposes. But for 15$ I can work out as a guest. The 7-day free passes are fraud and fake. Dont use this gym.

Ok so I signed up about 2 years ago when it recently opened. Everything was brand new and it was good. For a long period of time i dont think they cleaned the place or the bathrooms. A lot of people go to this place after work which is the worst time to go. The least they can do is keep it clean. There are weights everywhere and the staff is just there to scan your id. There is no sense of community or involvement of the staff and as long as people keep coming in I dont think la fitness cares. Only recently after people started complaining in person and online that they started cleaning a bit and even that is not enough. But its way to late for me, I rather take my membership somewhere else. Too bad, it looked like it had a lot of promise.

I came in through the front door as usual and scanned my key chain and went straight to the elliptical not more than 2 minutes pass and I get an email saying I got charged for $5 Miscellaneous charge. I approach the guy at the front desk and ask about the charge. He said I was not allowed at this La Fitness because of my all-city membership, but instead of telling me at the desk he decided to just charge me extra without my consent. I asked why he didn't tell me and he said that his computer was too slow to process it before I walked 15 feet behind him on an elliptical and instead of approaching me he decided to just charge me. I tell him thats not fair because there was no consent and he said "I have the power to charge anyone extra money regardless of consent". Lol so I ended up speaking to two different sales consultants with no solution to my membership not being valid at that gym unless I pay $117 extra one time charge to avoid extra $5 charge. I have to pay 20x the amount to avoid $5? That's ridiculous. Bottom line - this LA Fitness claims they care about fitness and their members health, but they have a funny way of showing it - instead they just continue to charge and demand more money for unjust reasons. Overall bad customer experience.
