La Boulangerie

Never did me wrong. Always great food and service. Scones are top notch.

I'm hesitant to add to the great reviews of La Boulangerie, if only to prevent people from making this gem more crowded than it already is!
Sunday = Funday at La Boulangerie. If you want a seat, it is all in the luck of the draw. The crowd comes in waves, but people like to ignore the 15 minute seating request and set up shop. When I do come I try to adhere to this when it is crowded to be fair to everyone.
But all in all, 15 minutes is all you need because the pastries here are divine and you will scarf them down because they are so good!. The croissants, the danishes, the scones and all sorts of breads are baked on the premises and replenished frequently so you get fresh, high quality pastries. The quiche is also quite good, although not the best I've had, but I highly recommend everything else. Also seating is tight and not really conducive to lingering.
The other drawback is service, the staff themselves can be spacey. But those pastries, and once the warm weather reappears, oh the crepes!

Love to come on weekends for brunch . Just wished they stayed opened late !

Consistently excellent food. The baguette has ruined me to all others and almond croissants I've forsaken my family for (especially at 9am, when they come fresh out of the oven), not to mention the rich soups and great sandwiches!
