Small French restaurant in midtown. Cozy place with tight table seating for excellent food and service. Crêpes are always recommended here!

A mainstay for reasonably priced, delicious French cuisine, La Bonne Soupe lives up to its name with a fantastic french onion soup. The fondue is superb, although despite their claims, a single serving is sufficient for 4-5 people, their escargot sufficiently garlicky and the house salad dressing is phenomenal. It might no longer be the same excellent restaurant it once was, but the food is delicious. The only issue I have had recently has been the sub par service the past two or three times I have been, but that might be down to a high turn over rate of servers in the recent years. It will run you ~150 for 2-4 people, as the bulk of the cost will come from shared dishes

Authentic: really French for USA. very good French onion soup, mussels were delicious, the Belgian beer was the best (Duvel) apple bite (French) not dry at all, steak tartare okay. Brazilian music, hard surfaces on the walls, a bit loud. Kind of expensive, these stars are a bit more dear.
