La Bergamote

One of the best restaurants in NYC. Great and fast service. Beautiful prepared plates. Delicious food.

Stumbled upon this place while searching for desserts in the neighborhood, after enjoying dinner with some friends. The selection was vast and everything looked amazing! We entered at about 9:20, way before closing time. We weren't initially greeted by the staff, they were cleaning up getting ready to leave.

Eventually a very friendly young man approached us and provided us with menus. As we start to order, and are asked if we are staying or going, an extremely rude blonde lady runs over and tells us that we should just take our desserts to go. She then explains that she locks the door 10 minutes to 10pm and that at that time we should get ready to leave.

Immediately we were discouraged and told the gentleman we would pass on desserts.
Unfortunately the woman's horrible and extremely poor customer service caused us to leave. I will never return. Completely turned off!

Croque madame is pretty good! The place looks good and the staff is friendly.
