Ask for a table on the rooftop! And be aware that the size of the big pizza is huge - any other reason needed to go there?

Excellent pizza! Im a regular customer and hardly ever stray from ordering the pizzas. Also, pretty much everything on their appetizer menu was delicious. I highly recommend their margaritas. Theyre made with fresh limes as opppsed to that syrupy goop. The view is nice upstairs during the summer. Totally one of my favorite places.

Good pizza. But, the portions of pasta are overwhelmingly large. And the atmosphere is a little stale. The owners also hover around, watching and micro-managing, which creates a strange vibe. If they’re not hovering, they’re eating at the bar. But it appears that none of the staff are able to eat. Which is okay I guess, but if that’s a policy across the board, it goes against the whole point of serving food. Really good restaurants (like the Spotted Pig, for example) have tasting dinners prior to work so the staff can get a sense of what they’re serving. So, instead of knowledgeable & confident servers, you have a disgruntled staff pitted against ownership. This is noticeable at L’isola. It also produces lots of turnover and a staff that fights over tables. Kudos. Go Team.
