I brought my 2005 Volvo S40 here due to the engine overheating, which required repairs to the coolant expansion tank where a leak had formed. We had previously brought the car to a mechanic in Rockaway who had little experience with foreign cars and took multiple days to simply perform a diagnostic. When we spoke to the boys at L&M it quickly became apparent that they had a much better grasp of what was wrong and were more qualified to perform the fix. We brought the car over, they took the time to understand the history of the car, reviewed our options and performed the fix that allowed the car to drive from New York to Los Angeles without an issue (except for the deer we hit in Utah).
The point is these guys are trustworthy, they know cars (especially foreign ones) and they will make the best effort to get the most miles out your car at the lowest cost. And they also make an effort to explain what they are doing and why, which I really appreciate. If you have an issue and are looking for a mechanic in the area, I would give them a call and you will quickly understand what I am talking about.
