I know I am not the only one who wasted so many years looking for the right therapist, psychologist or psychiatrist. But I found Kyra 12 years ago and I knew in our first session she was going to help me. It wasn't like I had to go to her 2, 3 or 4 times to see if I felt comfortable with her. I liked her ! I felt relaxed with her. She began working with me right away. Kyra diagnosed me with Bi-Polar disorder and started working on a medication regimen. I was only on an anti-depressant before I had seen Kyra. No doctor I had seen or the mental hospital I was in diagnosed me correctly. When you find a therapist who has the schooling and the knowledge of your illness but also the empathy and compassion , hang on to them because you struck GOLD !! Thanks for everything Kyra!

Within 3 weeks of my husband's sudden death, I was in Kyra's office hardly able to speak. I was in a state of shock and could barely put one foot in front of the other, This was more than depression, I thought it was "the end". Through my tears my first comment was , "I don't know how to be single". The thought of being alone was devastating! I saw Kyra often in the beginning of treatment. I don't remember talking about my future. The real problem was getting up in the morning and making it through each day. Kyra is amazing!!! She knows her clients! She can almost predict what the next problem will be. She is compassionate, caring and involved with YOU! She guides you through the situation in small steps. You will get stronger and be able to cope a little more ,each time you leave her office. There is always something she says in a session, that lifts you to better place. She is very understanding and straight forward. Honest, shows understanding and listens to you instead of just hearing you. You can say things to Kyra, that you would not be able to say to any one else. I always look forward to seeing and speaking to her in a very comfortable way. She is the best therapist I have ever had, and I have had plenty. Kyra is above all else.

Kyra Sposato is truly one of a kind in the realm of Psychiatry. People with various transgender issues do not always feel that great about themselves and what they feel they need to do. I can’t recall a single time after a session with Kyra when I did not feel encouraged and better about myself in some way. As a transgender person, you get used to seeing disdain in the eyes of people. And in Kyra’s eyes, there is nothing but warmth, caring, and sincerity.”
