Landlord Hamdi Nezaj and son (Shpend aka Joey) misrepresent and harass. Two courts cases against them in Housing Court in the last 3 months. They hire recent immigrants from Kosova, and make them into puppets, doing things that are illegal (intimidating tenants, using loud equipment outside the doors of people they want to leave at 6:50a.m., probably so they can get more rent, restricting keys so that even legal roommates have to go to court to get an outside door key). The son threatened to have me killed if I started a Tenants Assoc (TA), which I did anyway after calling the police (pity I hadn’t started recording everytime I went into hallways at that point). You’d be a fool to trust them. I’ve been here 17 years, and so I don’t have an easy choice. The TA is even having to engage in official government action to get lights in the stairways at this point, after 17 years of not having them (which is one reason for starting the TA).
