Knotz Hair Studio

I've been going here for two years. I always had a great experience until yesterday when 1) my colorist (who is barely 25) decided she wanted coffee and left me waiting in the chair 2) came late and didn't apologize 3) mixed the wrong color and made me mahogany red 4) tried to tell me that I had red in my hair ?$@#() 5) tried glaze and it didn't work. 6) didn't apologize 7) went to another client and left me with a junior girl to re-dye my hair 8) didn't apologize 9) washed my hair 4 times 10) told me she would blow out my hair and then give me back to the junior girl when her next client arrived!@!(#)+$() 11) Manager didn't apologize and didn't offer to pay for it 12) Left me a red apple patch of hair on my crown 13) Called me two hours later looking for their $65, still not apologizing except for pointing out the misunderstanding that I should have paid for the dye because I left and 'seemed' happy 14) Still didn't apologize.

Now I have to pay a lot more to fix my hair. This is a good place but the girls are young and are more concerned about ordering in breakfast and lunch and what they look like and the place crams in clients so 1) someone colors your hair 2) someone washes it out 3) someone blows it out.

Unfortunately, if they had apologized for screwing up and staying the course and being honest, I would have understood and paid for the service.

Knotz Hair Studio is clean and well-kept, the staff is very friendly and helpful, and I would recommend them to anyone! I did my bridal hair trial with Anna a couple of months ago. She was thoughtful, creative and imaginative! I showed her some things I liked and she made me a style that was unique, beautiful and matched my vision for my wedding day.I have a mildly embarrassing habit where i bite off hair strands creating some areas where my hair is a different length than the surrounding hair. Anna made me feel comfortable, not self-conscious, and she even incorporated the shorter pieces to make them work in my hair style! She was warm, kind and simply wonderful. I am getting married in 4 days and can't wait to work with her again!

I have gone here twice and both times were a disaster. To start, the girls are rude and catty, completely unprofessional. Especially the younger staff, some training is definitely needed. The first time I went here was to get a half up half down style for a party. The stylist was running late and they had no other stylist to take me, so I ended up running over an hour late because of them. This was incredibly frustrating but a few years later I opted to have a quick trim there. I asked for a simple cut, trim, no layers. The stylist then put layers into my hair! Incredibly unprofessional. I will never go back here.

I live in the bronx and yet i travel all the way to new rochelle to recieve the exceptional services at knotz studio. i was referred by a friend and i decided to give it a shot and because of there referral program i recieved $20 off my services. I found that all of the girls are highly professional and are extremely dedicated to meeting your expectations if not exceeding them. My stylist is Brittney and she does a faboulous job but if for any reason she wasn't available i would feel more than comfortable going to anyone there. This is the only salon i would recommend to anyone who wants faboulous hair.

Trisharo has clearly never been to Knotz. I absolutely LOVE Knotz Hair Studio and have been a loyal client now for years. EVERYONE there warm and welcoming; the girls constantly have a smile on their faces. For your information, I have been several salons in the city and Knotz truly offers the expertise of a Manhattan salon, with prices that are fair. Trish your hair must suck.
