5:00 pm the day before the Fourth of July, Kmart had eight employees near the registers, but only TWO registers open and accepting new customers. I waited for about 10 minutes, saw the manager and three employees standing in the corner looking disinterested, brought her the $60's worth of merchandise and told her "I was about to buy this, but this store is a joke, so I'm gonna buy it somewhere else."
I used to go to Kmart rather than Walmart because it was closer and the lines are usually shorter, but lately the employees are so disinterested and the management is so clueless that I'm through with them. And I bought my new suitcase at Walmart - same size but not quite as fancy - it only cost me $35. In a complete change of pace, Walmart had tons of lanes open.
