This despicable establishment is not actually a hotel. It's a disgusting drug-infested brothel!
We only really discovered this on the third (sleepless) night. The first night we only noticed loud music pumping from the so-called Karaoke Bar but were too tired after a long trip to be bothered by anything. The second night there was endless noise from the so-called Karaoke Bar again (everything but Karaoke), cars pulling up over and over again, engines running for hours, coming and going, shouting, and lots of racket on our floor. This went on until 4am - and it was a Monday! Needless to say that we didn't sleep very well. There was a sickening stench of marihuana in the hallway every morning. Breakfast (only until 9am on week days!) was very minimalistic: bread, cereal and coffee, paper plates, cramped and grubby dining area. No eggs or cheese etc.
The last night we paid more attention to what was going on and watched the show from our window until 4am (since it was impossible to sleep anyway). It got really active around midnight. Again, there was loud music, cars pulling up and leaving, engines running, loads of shady characters coming and going. Prostitutes were being picked up from the so-called Karaoke Bar by drivers every few minutes. The so-called Karaoke Bar a.k.a. "hotel lounge" is in fact the hub of the Kings Hotel's whoring enterprise. A guy in a van parked at the entrance (with the engine running, of course) was obviously smoking heroin or other drugs for a few hours, later staggered out completely off his face, then attempted to drive off, only to crash into the hotel. This created more mayhem with all the shifty characters and pimps assembling and debating what to do. Finally the side walk was cleared of other cars and he drove off in that condition. During all this time there was a lot going on on our floor, too. Prostitutes were going in and out, slamming doors, negotiating their next deals, and fighting with clients. We know this because the walls are paper thin and we could hear everything. It was like a bad movie and utterly disgusting. Once the so-called Karaoke Bar finally closed, the nightly activities culminated in more noise and a few prostitutes vomiting outside the hotel. Lovely...
Apart from this, the employees were generally unfriendly and didn't give a shit. Most times we weren't even greeted. We were met by a rude Chinese lady on arrival and - of course - not informed that the second floor which we were being sent to had mainly rent-by-the-hour rooms (we found out only on departure that normal hotel guests are usually booked into the top floors with less nocturnal whoring action). It was admitted that the Kings "Hotel" is indeed a brothel when we complained at check-out.
The payment was taken from my credit card in advance which was against the terms on which we'd agreed. The room was run down but at least kept clean. The mattress was horrible though and the blankets needed replacing urgently (uuuggghhh!!!). On the plus side, this place was more generous with kleenexes and other toiletries than real hotels. It was easy to figure out why, Haha :/
Needless to say that our request for a refund was ignored.
Avoid this hideous rat hole by all means if you do not fancy spending sleepless nights in a Chinese whore house!!! It is particularly annoying that this drug-infested brothel is shameless enough to advertise itself as "family-friendly". It's not! It's generally not human-friendly unless you happen to be a whoring crack head, perhaps. They should make up their mind whether they want a hotel or a crack house/brothel. The two things are not compatible!

This is the WORST hotel I have ever been to DO NOT GO HERE. The guy who calls himself "Sam" at the front desk is rude, not welcoming, disrespectful, immature and unprofessional. I booked a single room we had four adults and we called in advance to let them know we also had two children traveling with us. The rep I spoke to said it wasn't an issue but they would not supply cots which was fine with us. When we returned from an outing "Sam" called one of us over and rudely stated that we couldn't have that amount of people in the room even though it was pre-approved. He noticed that my grandmother was visiting us that we haven't seen in years and he advised us we had ten mins to hang out with her then she had to leave cause there were too many people with us.
On top of that the rooms are over priced. They have cockroaches the length of your finger. The wall paper is multi-printed to hide the millions of roaches that werre killed before you got there. They supposedly cleaned the room but there was a dead cockroach on the floor. The breakfast consists of some old shriveled up bagels and even older eggo's.
To make matters worst "Sam" sells rooms by the hour. Over heard multiple people asking for the minimum time allowed to rent while checking out early. Obviously, he is not used to having wholesome families renting rooms that must be the reason we were treated the way we were. We checked out early left Brooklyn immediately and slept at a truck stop on route to Erie.
Never again. You were WARNED stay clear!!
This place doesn't even deserve one star but no choice, I had to click something for the comment to post. Pretty sure the person putting 5 stars works at the hotel or is the owner.
