We are an international brotherhood of true Christians who strive to adjust ourselves and our lives to please the creator of the universe, as he has instructed in the Holy Scriptures. The Bible is the authority we adhere to and teach. Jesus Christ said that true Christians would be able to be identified by having love among themselves. (John 13:35) Worldwide, you will find an outstanding example of a united, loving people in Jehovah's Witnesses. (You will learn the same information in any Kingdom Hall around the world.)
The Bible also teaches that although works do not produce salvation, doing the good work assigned by God IS a natural result of true faith. (James 2:14-26) Faith is based on knowledge, having examined the evidence to see if things are true. Jehovah does not ask for blind faith, based on emotion. That kind of faith does not hold up under trials.
Many of us have this or that weakness and you will see that we are not perfect. However, we know that the Bible is true and we do our best to follow in the footsteps of the King of God's Kingdom, Jesus. We encourage people to be followers of Christ and worshippers of his God, Jehovah. (John 20:17) Cults follow a man. We do not follow a human leader.
The best way to find out what a person believes is to ask the person. Everything we teach is found in the Bible, according to the context, and in agreement with the message of the Bible as a whole.
