Had to change flex pipe and one other pipe near the end of the muffler. He asked for $135 but we settled on $120.

Good experience. Worth paying the Whitestone bridge toll both ways.

I found The Muffler King while searching the internet, and am SO happy to have found him! I was skeptical about the reviews, thinking that they may be bogus but they were accurate. Jose put my car on the lift, and quickly discovered my problem. The problem part of the muffler "tube" or whatever it's called was cut off, and he welded a new piece onto it. It took maybe 15-20 minutes and cost $40 bucks - I am happy! I asked if he would put in a catalytic (?) converter, and he told me I didn't need one at this time. I felt good that I wasn't being taken advantage of which is always my concern when it comes to auto repair. I absolutely recommend this business, and will definitely travel back to him for future work. My car is a 2006 Ford Explorer. WooHoo - very happy, and riding quietly! (smile)

José is an accomplished mechanic. Replaced the catalytic converter on my Subaru Turbo. Reasonable charge and outstanding workmanship. Highly recommend.
