IF there was a 0 i would have given this store just that. Nobody is fooled by the fact that this store is run by Keyfood. You can certainly tell by the cheap food that is being overpriced and sold to customers ( who are willing to buy) I recently visited this store and i saw 3 mice by what used to be the Chocolate Shop. i was disgusted and when i brought it up to the manager Ms. Wilma if i am not mkstaken, she just laughed and said " well did it scare you".... I was shocked at her responce so i looked for a higher manager. This time i spoke to a Vinny. He was just as rude as her although his response may have been a little realistic. Vinny says "Well may i assure you that our grocery market is clean but you might see one from time to time being that it is such a big tore and it gives the rodents extra places to HIDE. I never had this problem from a supermarket. i understand that it is a big store and that is all and well but seeing rats around (NOT ONE OR TWO BUT 3???) means that the store is very unsanitary itself. i live down the block and i have been coming here for 12 years now. The new owners are not going to get far. soon they will be infested and they have certainly lost a LONG TIME COSTUMER to the rats who they obviously enjoy better!!!! GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU STILL SHOPPING HERE.

Pretty average really. But, look very few New York food shops are a nice experience. Mainly due to staffing issues and the low quality of American food; white sugary bread as opposed to hand made whole meal bread, American bacon is fatty streaky while Canadian is just the meaty end of the cut, hard to get eggs not full of hormones and antibiotics - and the drinks shelves all laden with sweet gassy products like Coca Cola that give this country the high diabetes rate it has. Oh sweet poison is best description for US food. The oil and corn starch are lethal, products of genetically altered food. Transfat is everywhere in the cakes and cookies section.

So go there just for paper products and toothpaste and so on. Get meat from an independent butcher or for fish try Citerella and fruit and vegetables from somewhere like Whole Foods.
